CHAMPAGNE PUNCH
- 1 fifth Southern Comfort
- 3 cups Cranberry Juice
- 1 quart 7-Up
- 1 cup fresh lemon or lime juice
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters (optional)
- 2 fifths champagne
- Large punch bowl
Pre-chill all ingredients the day before your party. In a large punch bowl, combine all ingredients except the champagne and stir. Slowly place large pieces of ice or an ice ring into the bowl. Ice cubes will work also, but tend to melt quicker and water down the punch. Slowly pour champagne into the bowl to fill.
RUM PUNCH
- 1 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 cups grenadine syrup
- 2 cups Jamaican white rum
- 1 cup light rum
- 2 cups fresh pineapple juice
- 2 cups fresh orange juice
- Pinch freshly grated nutmeg, optional
- Orange slices, for garnish
- Pineapple slices, for garnish
Mix all ingredients together in a pitcher or punch bowl. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Garnish with orange or pineapple slices.
STEELERS GAME DAY PUNCH
- 2 quarts cranberry juice
- 1 pound clementines, not peeled, and cut into slices
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 quart lemon-lime soda
- 1 liter spiced rum
In a saucepan, bring the cranberry juice, clementines, cloves, and cinnamon sticks up to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside. This will infuse the tangerines and spices into the juice. Chill the infused juice completely.
In a punch bowl, whisk the chilled juice, soda, and rum together. Chill the punch completely before serving. Serve the punch in a punch bowl and ladle into glasses filled with ice.
MULLED WINE
- 2 bottles dry red wine
- 4 ounces port or brandy
- 12 whole cloves
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 large orange, zested
Serving suggestion: Garnish with cinnamon sticks or freshly ground nutmeg
