Tim Hillebrand and The Living Kitchen Story
Walk into the Hillmon showrooms, tucked away in the community of Cranberry Township, and you discover why all of the areas’ builders, kitchen designers and architects send their clients there. Looking around you wonder where to begin. The high-end products are shown in display kitchens; with many of the kitchens “live” where you can actually “test drive” what you are buying. Live kitchens include Jenn Air, Dacor, Thermador, GE Monogram Kitchen Aid and the Crown Jewel of Hillmon Appliances: the Sub Zero and Wolf “Living Kitchen.” The Living Kitchen is the Sub Zero/Wolf “showroom within a showroom” concept. There you can see and touch each and every Sub Zero and Wolf product in a beautiful vignette environment. Taking up over 1600 square feet, the “Living Kitchen” at Hillmon’s Appliance is the only one in the region. There is no longer any reason to look at a book to select your kitchen appliances when you can come into Hillmon Appliances and experience the real thing. When Tim Hillebrand, president of Hillmon Appliances, started the business 10 years ago, he had a concept to provide the area’s builders a high-end showroom with selection in a design concept environment. “The idea grew and we added the lines our customers asked for,” says Hillebrand. “We are the only high-end builder distributor and only showroom that has assembled Sub Zero, Wolf, Dacor, Thermador, Bosch, Gaggenau, Miele, Viking, Aga and Blue Star. Additionally, Hillmon is also a builder distributor for Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, Amana, JennAir, GE, GE Monogram, Frigidaire and Icon.” Hillmon offers delivery, installation for a charge, and contractor pricing. Visit their website at www.hillmonappliance.net or call for an appointment with Pittsburgh’s custom appliance specialists. “If you can’t find what you are looking for at Hillmon Appliance they probably don‘t make it yet,” says Hillebrand. The growth and success of Hillmon is about customer service. The company was built on doing whatever it takes to satisfy the customer. “We couldn’t have grown at the rate we have if we didn’t give our customers what they were looking for: selection, fair price, and satisfaction after the sale. I love this business. The kitchen is where people live, and the innovative products we sell save people time and give them a reason to want to go into the kitchen and cook.”
