The Big Red Monster,
Syrah, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah blend, California
This non-vintage wine has a movie motif, with a label that looks like a 1950s film poster. The edges of the label even feature faux chipping to enhance the vintage look. Various puns in the wording (for example, it’s from Big Red Productions, not Vineyards) further enhance the movie theme. The wine is far from monstrous, though. The big red monster team believes in using grape varietals that are most suited to California’s wicked hot climate – grape varieties that are happy with the sun, heat and lack of water. Winemakers, Jeff Booth and Bob Pepi have blended a monster of a wine. Rich in delicious blackcurrant and cherry aromas and full bodied with beautiful tannins and a long lasting mouthfeel, something that will complement the fattest steak or the heartiest of pasta dishes. This wine should not be drunk by itself. Once uncorked, please allow the Monster to breathe for at least half an hour before consuming.

The Fish Market's Winekeeper
While “The Winekeeper” was making a name in the service industry, The Original Fish Market was one of the first and only restaurants in the area to have a Winekeeper System. The Winekeeper keeps wines fresh as the moment they are uncorked for up to six weeks. The system protects all wines from “turning” by instantly replacing the oxygen in a freshly opened bottle with pure, odorless, tasteless nitrogen gas, thereby eliminating the oxidation process which is damaging to opened wine. Thru this system we are able to offer fifty-two wines by-the-glass.

2005 Cycles Gladiator
Cabernet Sauvignon
Central Coast
The invention of the bicycle ushered in a new spirit of freedom during the late 19th century. The Golden Age of Cycling reached its pinnacle in 1895 – the same year French painter G. Massians created one of the great Parisian art posters advertising a fashionable new bicycle: “Cycles Gladiator.” This famed artwork now graces the bottles of these classic wines from California’s Central Coast. His mythological image of the “winged bicycle” captures the stylish grace, beauty, and unfettered freedom of our hillside vineyards. It is velvety smooth, with enormously ripe cassis, milk chocolate, cherry pie, Vanilla and cinnamon spice flavors. At this price it’s a steal, and easy to find.
Let Cycles Gladiator whisk you away for the ride of your life.
