Summer Lifestyles

Water is a part of most everyone’s Summer Lifestyle. Western Pennsylvania is the perfect place for water enthusiasts. We have the three rivers, Lake Arthur, Deep Creek, just a short drive away, and of course Sandcastle Water Park. Whether you enjoy boating or swimming, our region has it all!

Sandcastle – Homestead, PA
This Water Park has something for everyone! Slides, pools, food, games and even a Lazy River. In addition to the fun during the day, they offer some family fun at night.

Dive-In to your favorite movie starting Sunday, June 25th and continuing through Sunday, August 13th. You can extend your fun day at Sandcastle or just come by for the Sunday Night Family Dive-In Movie.

The Family Dive-In Movie night doors open at 6 pm with lots of fun in store until the night ends following the movie. At the start of the movie, the waves will stop along with the Formula One Go-Carts and games so everyone can enjoy the movie.

Admission is included for guests who attended Sandcastle during the day and is free for Season Pass holders. Admission to just the Family Dive-In Movies for all others is only $5 and parking is FREE. www.sandcastlewaterpark.com

Moraine State Park – Butler, PA
The Park features 3,225-acre Lake Arthur, an outstanding warm water fishery and great sailing and boating. Visitors sometimes see osprey that were reintroduced to the park. Of special interest is the Frank Preston Conservation Area and a 7-mile paved bike trail that winds through the north shore of the lake. The park also provides horseback, hiking and mountain biking. Swimming is popular at the two park beaches. See pages 94-97 for more information.
