Cocktails at Home:

The glamour and romance of the classic cocktail has never gone out of style. Always in vogue, these delicious, even slightly decadent cocktails are a great way to make any ordinary evening extraordinary. Reminisce with these classics while kicking back listening or dancing the night away to Old Blue Eyes.


cocktail Old Fashioned

2 oz Bourbon
1 White Sugar Cube
2 dashes of Angostura
Lemon twist
Orange slice
3-4 Ice cubes
2-3 oz Club Soda
Maraschino cherry for garnish

Place the sugar cube into a 10-ounce old-fashioned or rocks glass. Douse it with the Angostura to soak the sugar. Add the liquor and muddle together until the sugar is dissolved. Fill the glass with the ice cubes. Add lemon twist and orange slice and top with club soda. Garnish with cherry and serve with a swizzle stick.

Side Car
2 oz Brandy
1/2 oz Cointreau
Juice of half of lemon

Shake all ingredients together with ice in a cocktail shaker to blend and chill. Strain the mixture into a frosted martini glass with a sugared rim.


whiskey sour Whiskey Sour

2 oz Bourbon
1-1/2 tsp superfine sugar
1 tbls fresh lime juice
1 cup crushed ice
1 tbls fresh lemon juice
Maraschino cherry and Orange slice for garnish

In a cocktail shaker, combine the Bourbon, lime juice, lemon juice, sugar and crushed ice. Shake until completely mixed. Pour mixture into a Delmonico or sour glass. Skewer the orange slice and cherry with a plastic sword toothpick for the garnish.

Gimlet
2 oz Gin or Vodka
2 oz Rose’s Lime Juice
Lime wheel for garnish

On the rocks: Combine liquor and lime juice over ice in a goblet. Garnish with lime wheel. Straight up: Combine liquor and lime juice into a mixing glass with ice and stir to chill. Strain into chilled cocktail glass without ice. Garnish with lime wheel.


whiskey sour Manhatan

2 oz Bourbon, Rye or Blended Whiskey
Dash of Angostura

Sweet: 1/2 oz sweet Vermouth
Dry: 1/2 oz Dry Vermouth
Perfect: 1/4 oz Dry Vermouth & 1/4 oz Sweet Vermouth

Maraschino cherry for garnish (Sweet and Perfect)
Lemon Twist (Dry)

For each variation, add the ingredients to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir the mixture until chilled. Strain into a frosted martini glass, add the garnish and serve.

Godfather
1-1/2 oz Scotch
3/4 oz Amaretto

Combine ingredients in a rocks glass over ice.

Godmother
1-1/2 oz Vodka
3/4 oz Amaretto

Combine ingredients in a rocks glass over ice.
